Privacy Policy

Talkwisp ("we", "us") provides live chat, an AI assistant and email ticketing for businesses, through a web dashboard, a mobile app and a chat widget that businesses add to their own websites. This policy explains what personal data we handle and why.
Two kinds of people
Our customers are the businesses and team members who create a Talkwisp account. Visitors are the people who chat with those businesses through the widget or by email. For visitor data the business is the controller and Talkwisp acts as its processor.
Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, a hashed password, team role, notification settings and, if enabled, two-factor authentication data.
- Mobile app: a push notification token for your device so we can alert you to new chats and tickets.
- Conversation data: messages, attachments, and the name or email a visitor chooses to give.
- Technical data about visitors: IP address, browser and device type, approximate country and city, the page they were on, and a random visitor ID stored in their browser so a conversation can continue.
- Billing data: handled by Stripe. We do not see or store full card numbers.
- Knowledge you add: text, links and files you upload to teach the AI assistant.
How we use it
- To run the service: deliver chats and emails, show them to your team, and send notifications.
- To generate AI replies from the content you provide.
- To secure accounts, prevent abuse and spam, and fix problems.
- To manage subscriptions and send account emails such as verification and password reset.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Service providers
We share data only with providers needed to run Talkwisp:
- Hosting and network: our server provider and Cloudflare.
- AI: Groq and Google (Gemini) receive the conversation text needed to write a reply.
- Image uploads: Cloudinary.
- Payments: Stripe.
- Push notifications: Expo and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Email delivery: the mail servers configured for your account.
Retention and deletion
We keep data while your account is active. Conversations that you delete stay in Trash for 30 days and are then removed permanently. You can delete your whole account at any time from the mobile app or by following the steps on our account deletion page; this erases your account, stores, conversations, contacts and other data.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, and access to each business's data is restricted to its own team. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and turn on two-factor authentication.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data, and object to or restrict some processing. Visitors should contact the business they chatted with; we will help that business respond. To exercise a right with us, email [email protected].
Children
Talkwisp is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Questions: [email protected].
